This Is It

So this is it. This is the last day of 2009. Whoo. Good year, good year. But alas, this year has come to an end. Angry Santa. Let me reminisce on all the stuff that happened to me this year. Let's see.
1. Had Dr. Hill for Bio. No need to explain
2. English Honors. English will never be the same
3. Got blonde highlights.
4. Learned how to write in html
5. AP World. History has never been more interesting/hard
6. Summer school at City College. A lot of bros
7. Switched to Chrome. My web surfing had never been more enjoyable
8. Became significantly more perverted
9. Became significantly better at procrastinating
10. Robin broke up with Barney. Angry Santa

Hmm. That's all I can think of. Well. I'm not really sure what to say. At this point, I can only do one thing--quote Ted Mosby. My parents live in San Francisco; I live in the moment. That seems like a good way to end 2009. Just live in the moment. While it lasts. VIVIAN OUT.

Quote of the Day

I have decided to follow in the footsteps of a certain blog--the name of which I will not divulge--and do the famous Quote of the Day.

"You can't catch me. I'm the gingerbread man" -Maria

"You have to wait a couple of years. I don't want to be a pedophile" -Godzillawoman

"Totes my goats" -Cindy, although we all know it came from I Love You, Man

"What up, G-men" -Amanda Bynes, She's the Man

Leg Amputation

Whoo. Today was a good day. I went over to Amanda's house. But you can read all about that at http://beyondbloggerism.blogspot.com/ Cool. Hmm. What else happened? Oh. I can't believe I forgot to mention this in my beyondbloggerism post. So after we finished eating, we were pretty tired. Eating is a very rigorous and intense activity. So Cindy and Maria started playing Pin The Tail On The Maria. Which is basically Cindy trying to tag Maria. It was hilarious. At one point, Maria started crawling on the floor in an attempt to hide from Cindy. It failed, and she almost fell over. Good times. And for some reason, my leg started getting really numb. It was weird :/ And afterward, I'm not sure what happened, but when Amanda and Cindy went against Maria, Maria ended up on the floor.

And a couple minutes later, when Cindy was running after Maria, Maria fell on me. And then we both fell on the couch. I'm starting to think that Maria has some balancing issues.
Chloe vs. Maria: Maria ends up tripping and falling.
Amanda vs. Maria: Maria crawls around a lot. The epic Amanda still manages to tag Maria.
Godzillawoman/Vicki vs. Maria: Godzillawoman gets Maria while Maria is lying on the floor.
I didn't play, though. My leg felt really numb.

Anyway, quite the eventful day. So yes. And afterward, I walked to the bus stop with Maria. She tripped while walking. Then she caught her bus and I walked to my bus stop. Saw Richard. Kaboom. And when I switched to the 38 when I got to Geary, I accidentally took the wrong 38. I took the 38 Ocean Beach instead of the 38 VA Hospital. So I ended up walking ten blocks home instead of waiting for the bus. Felt good. I haven't done that in months. I need to do more walking. And it all worked out in the end. Because by the time I got home, my leg wasn't numb anymore. I thought I would have to amputate it or something. Walking fixes everything. VIVIAN OUT.

OH NOES

OH NO. I ALMOST FORGOT TO BLOG TODAY. IT'S CURRENTLY 11:51. WHICH MEANS IT'S 9 MINUTES UNTIL TOMORROW. SO I MADE IT. I WILL BLOG EVERYDAY.

So I left my AP World notebook at school. Which means I can't take notes. Because seriously, who takes notes without a notebook?! D: This is terrible. What am I supposed to do, take notes with binder paper?! What a disgrace :/

So my mother and brother came home from China today. Not a lot of souveneirs (sp?), but I did get about four hundred bucks. And then we watched our cousin's wedding video. Boring. That was two hours of my life I'll never get back.

Sorry this post is terrible, but I'm racing against the clock. I have to finish before it's time for Neopets! So. Now it's time for so long. But I'll sing just one more song. Thanks for doing your part. You sure are smart! You know with me, and you, and my dog Blue, we can do anything. That we wanna do. VIVIAN OUT.

Drugs

So I'm depressed again. Today was like a rollercoaster. WHOOOO. Yes. Indeed. Anyway, about my day. So I woke up at six this morning. But I decided to go back to sleep. Then I woke up at twelve. Good times. Anyway, so I watched TV for a while. It was good. I was watching this new Chinese drama. I'm not Asian, BTdubs. I just like watching Chinese TV. At least I don't watch Korean stuff. That stuff makes me want to throw up on the inside. Anyway, the Chinese drama was nice. It was about drugs. I like drugs.

...that came out wrong. I meant to say, I like it when people portray how drugs affect people. There. That sounded better. But it's not what I really meant. Oh well. Good enough. Anyway, so I finished watching around 3:10. And I had to go to Chinese class at four, which meant I had to leave the house by 3:30. So yea. And I didn't have anything to do for twenty minutes, so I just wandered around the house. And that's when it happened. I became depressed again! Where is this coming from?! I need to find it, and then destroy it. I must destroy depression. It's disgusting. I just sat there, doing nothing, and all these feelings were trying to attack me. Now what? What I am doing? Why do I feel so empty? What's my purpose in life? What am I here for? It was like, I had no idea what to do. After I finished watching, I didn't know what to do. Everything just felt so empty. It was so confusing.

I had never felt so depressed before. Why did I feel so depressed? I didn't feel depressed during Winter Break last year. Or during Summer vacation. Or even during Thanksgiving break. And that was three weeks ago! Why is this happening to me?! I know why. Feelings. That's why. Stupid feelings. Feelings are even worse than change. But where the heck are these feelings coming from?! I just want to find the source of these feelings and just destroy it. No. That would be letting it off too easy. I have to torture it and then destroy it. It's too bad I have no idea why I'm so depressed. Is it because I miss people? Well, that doesn't make sense. It doesn't feel like I'm missing anyone. Then again, I have no idea why I'm depressed. Maybe that's why. Could I be missing school? That makes sense. I feel like there's an empty space. Maybe it's because I usually have school to pass the time. And now that it's gone, the space that it left behind can't be filled. But that doesn't make any sense. Me missing school? Please. What a joke. NUCKENFUTS. What is it, then?! This is killing me on the inside.

I need some anti-depressants. Whoo. More drug talk. Maybe I'm sad because of drugs. But I don't take drugs. Okay. I'm very confused. Why am I so depressed?! I need help. I need something. Anything. ARHGHG;ALJD NJLKGDSANB LKJF ;LKJ NLSK. I feel better. VIVIAN OUT.

Sex God

I think I'm getting sick. My throat felt a little off last night, but I paid no attention to it. Then, as I was waking up this morning, it felt like I was swallowing some sort of slimy substance in my throat. It has yet to go away. And my voice sounds a little off. But it's not serious. Not yet, at least. I'm pretty sure I'll have an actual cold by tomorrow morning. Oh well. It's fine. I just need some medicine. I am not sure, however, what kind of medicine to take for a cold. Hmm. This poses a dilemma. It's fine, though. My mother will be back from China tomorrow, and will therefore be able to show me to the cold medicine. Awesome.

On a side note, I was supposed to finish reading Huck Finn and all the study questions that came along with it on Saturday. It's Monday. And I have only finished reading. I have yet to do the questions. Also, I must study for AP World. It's essential that I do this in order to be able to take the final that's coming up. School makes me sad.

On a brighter note, I watched Angus, Thongs, And Perfect Snogging last night. It was awesome. British people are weird. They call underwear "knickers". And signs of affection usually displayed by couples "snogging". And they kept on referring to the guy lead as a sex god. It was a very awkward movie. I liked it. And I also perfected my British accent because of it. It's a shame I watched it after International Speak With A British Accent Day. Angry Santa. Oh well. And then this morning, I watched Can't Hardly Wait. I didn't like it that much. I thought it was gonna be like American Pie, and just be a bunch of random scenes that are amazingly awesome, but it wasn't. It was a teen version of a sappy romantic comedy. Kind of a downer. But I'm watching I Love You, Man at this moment, and it's making me significantly happier.

"Oh. I jack off here... I have my own jack off station"

"You jacked off to a picture of your own girlfriend? You--that--wow--that is sick. Oh my god, what is wrong with you?"

"Yeah, totally! Totes my goats. Cool!"

Birthday Season

Alright. I think I'm going to continue introducing myself. Let's see. I watch movies. But I like watching... how do I say this... stoner movies. Or just randomly awkward teen movies about sex that are awesome. Like... American Pie [but only the original trilogy; the sequels were not that enjoyable], Zombieland, Harold and Kumar [but only the first one, the second one could have been better], Fired Up, She's The Man... that kind of thing. Well, that about sums it up. I mean. This sounds ironic, but I don't like action movies because they're kind of boring. And horror movies are not fun. I get nightmares. So I've watched two actual horror movies in my entire life. The first one was this asian one I watched when I was ten. Couldn't sleep for a week. I had terrible nightmares the first night. It probably wasn't even that scary, but hey. I was ten. And now that I look back on it, it seems kinda lame. And the second horror movie was Saw VI. Which I watched on Halloween this year with Amanda, Gordon, and Kendrick. It wasn't scary. It was just really really really really really nasty. And it was predictable, so that took away all the suspense. But yea. Romantic comedies? Enjoyable, but not my type. Although I did enjoy Just Friends. Because Ryan Reynolds is pretty awesome. His rank is rising on my list. Neil Patrick Harris will always be at the top, though.

Cartoons? Growing out of them, but Up! and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs were amazing. Both were awesome, and yet... strangely emotional. Up! was good, though. As for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs... I think I only liked it so much because it was so awkward. Seriously. It was amazingly awkward. And I could relate to Flint. Like at the beginning when he was asking if we had ever felt different. It was like he was reading my mind. Only, he was saying it like it was a bad thing. But in my mind, I was responding with an enthusiastic voice. Also, his dad is also named Tim. It was like the creators were mirroring my life or something. And then I have random movies, like... American Psycho and Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. Those are awesome. OH. And Harry Potter. Who could ever forget about Harry Potter? Harry Potter is the only franchise that I can endure sequel after sequel.

Now I don't know what to say. Well, I'm not depressed anymore. Although I am growing increasingly apprehensive about my birthday. Sure, it's eight months away, but I don't want it to come. At all. I just... don't like it when people put extra attention into useless stuff. Like birthdays. Really. What's there to celebrate? Getting older? Leaving childhood? One year closer to dying? Birthdays are just so useless. I always hated it when my family would celebrate my birthday with me. It just felt like all that attention was wrongly directed toward me. If only they directed it like how Zuko redirected lightning. I don't know. Birthdays are just a waste of time. And it's not like I wanna grow older, either. I'd much rather stay a kid and just not have to take on any responsibility. I don't even know how I got to thinking about this. I think it's because everyone seems to be having birthdays nowadays. It's like birthday season or something. God. I hate birthday season. And now they're making school start earlier in the year, so that means that I have to go to school... on my birthday. Before, my birthday came the week before school started. I was always grateful for that. I hate it when people make big deals out of nothing, and that meant I wouldn't have to go through all the stupid stuff associated with birthdays. And now, I have to go through this. I think I might just skip school. So it's settled. I'm skipping school on my birthday. Awesome. But now that my plan is public, I only ask you to keep it a secret, and not reveal it to anyone. And now that you're reading this, and you know how I feel about my birthday, I solemnly ask you to not make a big deal out of it. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it a lot. VIVIAN OUT.

My Introduction

I just realized that I've been on this blog for a week. But... I've never actually introduced myself. So I guess I should do that now. So my name is Vivian. You probably know me if you're following my blog, but I'm fifteen. And if I don't know you, there's an 83% chance that I'm not gonna come and meet you. Sorry :/ Hmm. Let's see. I'm awesome. Um. This is very difficult. I like music. I guess I used to be into R&B and that kind of stuff when I was thirteen, but then it kind of went away after I began high school. And then last year, during freshman year, I just listened to anything I could get my hands on. Just anything that sounded good to me.

I didn't really have a genre last year. And then during summer '09, I started drifting toward pop rock, pop punk, alternative rock, indie... that kind of thing. So now I basically listen to Postal Service, All Time Low, All American Rejects, DCFC, FM Static, Dave Days, hellogoodbye, Honor Society, Secondhand Serenade, Owl City, Nevershoutnever!, Young & Divine... that kind of thing. Oh. And as for boy bands, I've been listening to the Jonas Brothers since I was twelve and I don't think I'm ever going to stop... even though I think they are profoundly lame. And the Backstreet Boys. I remember seeing their music video for Everybody (Backstreet's Back) when I was six. And my dad knows every word to I Want It That Way. But I really started listening to them the summer after eighth grade. But I know every single word to all of their singles. Except for Incomplete. I don't really like that song.

Anyway, introducing myself is hard. I can't think of anything to say :/ OH. I guess you're wondering why my blog is called the Barney Life. Some might think it's a cheap rip off the Halo Life, but it's really not. Barney isn't that purple dinosaur, either. Who I'm referring to is Barney Stinson--who is portrayed by the amazing Neil Patrick Harris--from How I Met Your Mother. How I Met Your Mother is the most amazing show in the history of the earth. I've converted five people. In the sense that they now watch How I Met Your Mother because of me. And they are all die-hard fans. So. Keep that in mind. Hmm. I guess I should talk about TV too. TV had always been a huge part of my life. You don't understand. I've spent more hours watching TV than I have doing homework and sleeping combined. But this year, due to AP World, I haven't really watched a lot of TV. Plus, for some strange reason, all the TVs in my house--except for the ones with the magical comcast boxes--can only get channels 1-30. It's weird. We're supposed to have 100 channels, but I guess something went wrong. My father has tried calling comcast, but they never pick up. Oh well. It's fine. As long as I can still get my How I Met Your Mother and Glee, it's fine.

But I'm sad because now I can't watch Fresh Prince/George Lopez/Malcolm in the Middle. Oh well. I've watched all the episodes of Fresh Prince and George Lopez already. But I haven't for Malcolm in the Middle. I haven't watched Malcolm in the Middle since... August, when my TV still worked. Angry Santa. You know how people say Sad Face? Well, I say Angry Santa. Anyway, sorry if my last post seemed emo. I know I said I wouldn't try doing that anymore, but I couldn't help it. Everything was just so depressing last night. I think the Catcher in the Rye actually had a huge impact on me. That's a first. I've never had a book influence me, only TV shows or movies. But seriously. Do you know why people die? Because of change. Because change gets at them so badly, it eats and eats and eats at them until all that's left of them is their BR. VIVIAN OUT.

Nuckenfuts

Hmm. So. It's officially Winter Break. Which means the semester is over. I don't want it to be over. I like my classes. I like my schedule. I don't want anything to change. I like my teachers. They don't give homework. And that just made my day amazing depressing.

It was actually pretty good at the beginning. I didn't do anything all day, and just chilled at school. And I watched all the performances at Winterfaire. They were amazingly good. Shoutout to Emman. You have a whole entire fangirl club now. Anyway, that was pretty cool. And then the history department came out. Mr. Magsanay + shutter shades + sagging pants [not even, they were jeans] + crotch grab + supermaning that hoe + Mr. Schmidt in a dress? Pretty epic, I must say. So that was pretty much the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Ever. It was just so amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes. So after that amazing performance, Winterfaire was over. And then things just went downhill from there. Nuckenfuts.

You see, after something so amazing happens... or just anything that's amazingly exciting, everything afterward has to be amazing awesome. Otherwise, you end up depressed. Like I was. I don't know. It's just that after that, everything became amazingly boring. Everyone started leaving and going home, and it was just so depressing. I'm sorry to say that I sound like Holden, but it really was amazingly depressing. Everyone was leaving, and no one was going to stay at school with me... and it just made me feel so depressed. And I think it has to do with the whole semester's over thing that I talked about at the beginning. I don't like change. I don't like it one bit. I like staying in my own little predictability corner and knowing what happens in my classes all the time. I don't want that to change. I like my classes. I like the people in my classes. I don't want any of that to change. What if my new classes suck? What if lunch isn't as awesome anymore? I don't want to change anything. My life is perfectly wonderful right now. I don't need change. I don't.

And it's like, every time something in my life is awesome, something has to change. It's just so depressing. I'm not gonna lie. I'm really depressed right now. It's like... if the first semester of sophomore year is over already, then the second semester is gonna go by equally as quickly. And if that's the case, then junior and senior year are gonna go by really really quickly. Which means that high school is over, and it's time for college. And here we are again. More change. It's everywhere. This whole change thing is just really pissing me off and making me feel really depressed and Holden-like.

So I feel better now. After writing all that down, I feel better. Blogs are useful, after all. Maybe Kim was right. Maybe blogs are for emos to cry their hearts out. :/ VIVIAN OUT.

Pokemon

I'm so confused. Well. Today was... well, less than awesome. I had expected to get a good grade on my DBQ in AP World. But then... I ended up with a 4 :/ And it was because of some careless mistakes. I just didn't explain my additional document and POV analysis that well. It was all in my head. I had all the stuff in my head. I just didn't write it down. So if the stuff in my head was counted, I'd have a pretty good grade. But I didn't make a very good thesis. I'll admit that. I didn't deserve a thesis point, not even in my head. Sigh. Oh well. I'll just do the rewrite. Well, I'm actually going to keep this post short because I'm trying to learn the Pokemon theme song on the piano :D

Alright. VIVIAN OUT.

Happy-go-lucky Emo

I don't get it. How do people make their posts so... deep and emotional? I... don't seem to be able to do that. So I'm not going to do that ever again. But seriously. How do other people do that?! Is there some sort of emo mine that everyone else knows about? If so, I'd tap that. It's not that I want to be emo. But I want to be able to talk about deep things, and not just... oranges, you know? I mean, sometimes I think about deep emotional stuff, but most of the time... I'm just thinking about a dirty joke or something I saw on TV. I guess I'm just a happy-go-lucky person. How boring. I want to be emo. Maybe I should re-read The Catcher in the Rye to get some inspiration. It's such an emo book.

I mean, it's emo enough to make me not like it a lot, but I understand where Holden's coming from. Like the other day at Chinese school. This little kid was lying about something. And I could tell that he was lying, because I was once the little kid that lied about not doing homework. And I just stared at him, and asked him if he was lying. And even though it was so obvious to me that he was lying, he still lied about it. So it's just that whole innocence of children thing with Holden. I used to think I was a good liar, but now that I look back, it was probably just my innocence getting to me.

Aha. Was that deep and emo enough?! Well, it was good enough for me. Anyway, I can't believe it's just Wednesday. How is it not Winter Break already?! Well, it's gonna be Thursday tomorrow, and I'm not really doing anything in my classes. Let's see. I'm getting my first ever DBQ back in AP World :/ That's gonna suck. I probably got a 5. And then... I hope it's inclement weather tomorrow so we won't have anything for PE. And we're having a party in English tomorrow, so that'll be ok. And then... another party in Chem. So 14-15 and 16-17 are gonna be pretty chill. And in Geo... I'm not sure what we're doing, but it'll probably be boring. Oh well.

Oh. And tomorrow's my first day blogging for BeyondBloggerism, so make sure to go check that out. I'm going to introduce myself through Daoism. Challenge accepted. VIVIAN OUT.

GHOST

My mother and brother have been in China for a week now. A weird side effect--I don't seem to miss them. I know. It doesn't really make sense. Well, the way I see it, there's no point in missing people. I mean, what's the point of missing someone when you know they're coming back? The only reason you should ever miss someone is when you know they're never coming back.

Or rather, that's the way it's supposed to be. I guess I'm just sort of a kind of rather awkwardly abnormally weird, because I don't really miss my grandfather or uncle. Or other grandfather. When I think of them, I just think that they're all sort of not alive anymore. But I don't miss them. I just think that if they had one last wish, it would be that they wouldn't want people to be all sad and stuff. When I die, I won't want people to fuss over me. They should just... bury me and get the job done.

I don't know. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't miss my mother and brother. It makes me feel like I don't have the feelings that everyone else seems to have. Well, I guess I don't miss them because I know they're coming back. And I do seem to like my brother more. This week without him has sort of improved my image of him. But I still dont exactly miss him.

On a side note, while I was in the car en route to Chinese class today, I realized the car in front of me had the license plate reading "GHOST" No lie. It was awesome. I knew that some sort of awesome MLIA moment would happen--I anticipated that it would just disappear right in front of my eyes. But it didn't. I kept my eyes on it, though. Then it cut to a different lane. I could still see it. But then, I swear to GodBuddhaBarney, it disappeared. I only looked away for two seconds, and it was gone. It was awesome.

Well, that's it for today. Sorry to bore you with all the weird deep down meaningful stuff. I don't usually think about that kind of stuff. I didn't think I would be able to handle such a deep and meaningful topic, but I did. And I'm proud. Of myself. VIVIAN OUT.

Happyfunchristmastime

"I can't get through because your legs are in the way."
-Gary to V. Fong

Well, maybe she should just spread 'em. Would that make it easier to get through?

I don't seem to understand why people think I'm immature. I'm perfectly normal. What's wrong with being immature? C'mon, guys. High school's almost over. We don't have time to waste. We should be kids--and therefore immature--while we still can. There's no time left. In two years and a half years, the whole world is gonna be thrust upon us. We'll be legal adults. We have to be responsible for ourselves. So why not enjoy being a kid while we still can?

I mean, I understand where you're coming from. I was mature once. Then again, I was ten. But it was no fun. Being serious all the time and not laughing at dirty jokes made my life bland. Seriously. We have our entire lives to be serious. Why are we starting now? We're still kids, for GodBuddhaBarney's sake. I'm positive I'll miss being a kid when I'm older. So let's just enjoy it while it's still here. Things will never be the same. The world changes constantly. Happyfunchristmastime may not always be happyfunchristmastime.

Life Sucks Balls

I'm screwed D: My piano teacher wants me to take the piano theory test in May. He thinks I'm ready. But... I'm not. I cheat when I do his homework. I have notes that I need to look at every time. I have bookmarked pages of Wikipedia regarding time signature and musical terminology. I don't even know how many sharps there are in A major. Not off the top of my head, at least. This is terrible. How am I supposed to take a freaking musical theory test if I don't even know any of the information?!

Oh, and guess what else is in May. The AP World test. So, by the looks of it, I have to know 8 years worth of piano theory and the entire history of the world... by May. That's five months from now. I'm going to die. Why is life so sucky right now? Man. At times like this, I really need comfort food. But I neither have oranges nor chocoloate milk. Hmm. I have pudding. That's good enough. Pudding is #3 on my list of comfort foods.

Did I mention I could have died today? My father was driving me back from piano this morning. While reading a newspaper. Now that's multi-tasking. I don't understand. He's such a dangerous driver. Sometimes he drives while checking the stock market on his phone. It's crazy. But he's never gotton a ticket. Hmm. Maybe I should drive like him when I can. Ok. So it's settled. I'll be a multi-tasking driver.

Oranges Make Me Happy

Some people have comfort objects. It may be their blankey, or a childhood toy. Well, what I have... is an orange. I don't know. Everytime I finish doing homework, I just feel like eating an orange. And it's only because I learned how to peel oranges three weeks ago. These three weeks have been pretty sucky. I have a B in AP World solely because I was too lazy to do the extra credit. But it's different this time. It's the third grading period, and I'm actually doing the extra credit. Man, AP World is so stressful. That's why I need more oranges. But that poses a dilemma because my grandmother just ate the last orange. It hurt deep inside. It was like something had been ripped out of me. And there won't be any more oranges for the next two weeks because my mom is in China. And my dad sure isn't gonna go out and buy me some oranges. So I'm pretty much stuck orangeless until... Christmas.

I remind myself of Danny Tanner from Full House. Look at that ^ I just rambled about oranges. Oh well. Time to do homework. VIVIAN OUT
